...he said, “Ah, you’re back to normal!” And I didn’t know that I was ever not normal.

Who would your boobs call?

I know it hasn’t been a week yet, but I’m back with a story that came to me while reading Andrea’s post about her Boobey Story.

I’m a runner, and I used to run outside in the mornings with my dog at 5 a.m. Well, I live in the city (not for long though!) and my husband is fine with me running when it’s dark out as long as I have one of the dogs with me (I usually took the Boxer, Maisy), and my cellphone.

On this particular day I didn’t quite know where to put my cellphone, so I stuck it between my boobs, inside of my jog bra. I’m (thankfully) not too busty, just right actually, they’ll fit perfectly inside of champagne glasses (not the flute kind).

Too much information! *ahem* Where was I….

Oh yes, so I stuck my cellphone inbetween my boobs, and then Maisy and I went out for our morning run.

About halfway through I pulled my cellphone out and noticed that it was actually dialing a bunch of numbers uncontrollably! What the hell??? I had forgotten to lock the keys, and while I ran the buttons were being pressed, and God only knows who my boobs were calling! I hoped it wasn’t international, and I tried to shut the damn thing off, but I couldn’t because it just put my commands at the end of the sequence that was already pressed.

It took 30 minutes for my phone to stop dialing, and that was the very last time I ran with my cellphone between my boobs without locking the buttons.

This is an update on graduate school — I presented it to my bosses (parents) and they are very excited that I’m interested in doing this. They said that the company would pay for it completely!! YAHOO!!!!

Now, all I need to do is decide between a Master’s in Science of Management, or a the typical MBA. It’s a tough choice. I think either of them, and both of them would be beneficial in running a business.

15 days to go ….

15 days to go to what????

Be patient, I’ll get to that…..

Thank you for all the wonderful and thoughtful comments about my last post, the one where I said that I think I’m done blogging. Instead of being so final, I think I’m just going to take an extended break, and post about once a week. How does that sound? (If you subscribe to me on Bloglines you’ll automatically be alerted to any new postings when you view your Bloglines Feeds.) This does not include my Question of the Day, that will continue as normal.

Update on the house: Our house is all sold and the closing date is May 30th. We are waiting on a set closing date for the house we are buying, so far it’s ‘prior to June 30th’. The sellers haven’t found a house yet, and at this point I don’t care that they haven’t found one! I need my schedule to be in order for my own piece of mind, and that includes having a set closing date so I can figure out where we’ll go (my parent’s or brother’s) between closings, rent a pod, movers, etc…..

Has anyone rented a pod before?

Okay … enough about moving and on to moi! I’m thinking about getting my masters degree in business management. When I graduated from college in 1996 I was all set to get my masters in business administration (which is slightly different from what I’m thinking of now) and was accepted and enrolled at a private college. Well, I took the spring semester off, and by mid summer I was having so much fun NOT going to college that I decided that I wasn’t ready to work on my masters degree. Now, I’m thinking that maybe I am, and perhaps the business management would be better than the business administration that I was orginally thinking about.

My hubby okay’d it, and now I need to present it to my bosses (that would be my parents because I work in the family business). If they think it would be an asset to the company (and I can’t imagine that they wouldn’t), I might be able to get the company to pay for it. :-) When my parents retire, my brother and I will be buying the business from them. It makes sense to me that this is something that I work towards. Don’t you agree?

Okay, time for the 15 day to go thing ……

WE LEAVE FOR DISNEY WORLD IN 15 DAYS!!!!!! I’m sooooooooooooooo excited!!!!!!!!!

I think I might be done

Done. As in all done blogging.

I’m not sure, but so far I’d say that I’m about 95% sure. I guess I don’t get so much from it anymore. I enjoy writing, and I always have, and I enjoy the comments, and the kinda-sorta-if-you-can-call-it-that aquaintances and friendships that I’ve made …. but it all seems to be sort of pointless after a while. Doesn’t it?

I can’t believe I just said that outloud.

Did I just call blogging pointless???

I guess in a way I did, but in a way I don’t feel that way at all. Yet, in a way I do. I mean, if I stopped blogging would anyone notice?

There are times that I truly feel that blogging is the biggest time waster in the entire world.

And there are times that I don’t feel that way at all.

Let me introduce you to the wishy-washy Indigo. (The one that can’t decide if she should just get a trim, or a new hair style.)

What do you think?

What is your favorite Hostess treat?

What is your favorite Hostess treat? Do you eat it a certain way?

Today’s post is inspired by my Question of the Day because, like I mentioned earlier, I’m all blogged out. I asked this question last summer and I loved all the replies.

My favorite are the snowballs. YUM!!!!! I can’t remember the last time I had one, but when I ate them as a kid, I always peeled the outside (what was that, marshmallow & coconut?) off the cake, ate the cake first, and then the rest. It was a total success if it peeled off in one piece!

I ate the cupcakes weird too. I pulled the bottom half of the cupcake off, ate that part, then turned the remainder upside down, so the frosting part was on my tongue. I’m an upside down eater. If I can turn it upside down, I do.

Flashback Friday

It’s Flashback Friday …… it’s the day to pull something from your archives and post it again. This is from last May, I chose it because it’s I’m a girl, and I’m purse-obsessed! :-)
What are you going to post as a flashback today?

Can You Carry My Purse?

Where did the need to carry a purse come from? And why do some women carry them, and others don’t? I can’t go anywhere without mine, but other than my cellphone and my wallet, I really don’t have anything in there that I need with me all the time. Last night while I was at the park with Hubby and Kid, we saw two little girls running around the jungle gym with their purses over their shoulders. They couldn’t have been older than 8 or 9. Does the need to carry essentials around with you really start that young?

I’ve yet to find the perfect purse, but I’m constantly on the lookout. Currently I have a med-sized black leather hobo kind of handbag. It’s small enough to not weigh my shoulder down at the mall, but big enough to hold all the crap (I mean, essentials) that I insist upon bringing with me wherever I go. Right now I carry my Palm Pilot, cellphone, checkbook, wallet, lip balm, compact, pen, bandaids, hand lotion, little container of ‘just-in-case’ medicine, and my glasses. I’ve tried to cut a few of those out, but as soon as I take an item out of my purse, wouldn’t you know that I need it.

I have a scads of purses that I thought would be The Perfect Purse. They weren’t, yet I can’t get rid of them. Like there’s my cute little Dooney & Bourke purse that I bought to go on my trip to Martha’s Vineyard, that was 8 years ago and I haven’t touched it in about 7-1/2. Or my Louis Vuitton Speedy handbag that I bought, gosh, at least 13 years ago. I used it for about 4 years non-stop. It was very close to receiving TPP status, but it was too big. I could actually lose something in that purse! So my Louis sits in the back of my closet, I take it out every now and then, and wonder if I should give it another try, and then put it back.

Then there is the pink purse that I really really REALLY want. I’ve been looking for TPPP (The Perfect Pink Purse) for over a year now. There is a sea of pink purses out there, and I can’t find the one that’s for me. Past experience tells me that this purse will end up in my closet with the rest of my purse castaways, so I don’t want to spend the big bucks on one, and have considered buying a fake. I just can’t do it. And what happens if I finally find TPPP, and then they go out of style? Hmmm, what happens then? I’ll feel like I’ve got avocado green appliances, when everyone knows the ‘in’ color is stainless steel. I may live out the rest of my life pink-purseless.

No matter what kind of purse it is, I know this for a fact, Hubby will not carry it for me. And this is why I’ve promised that when he dies, instead of a rosary in his hands, he’ll be holding my purse.

Thursday Thirteen

Thirteen Books I’ve Read

1. Digital Fortress, Dan Brown ~ loved it!

2. One For The Money, Janet Evanovich ~ by far one of my most favorite books ever! In fact, I read it twice. What can I do to convince you to read the Stephanie Plum books????

3. Skinny Dip, Carl Hiaasen ~ very good, I really enjoyed Hiaasen’s humor. I’m reading his book, Hoot, right now.

4. Olivia Joules and the Overactive Imagination, Helen Fielding ~ I never got into the Bridget Jones books, so I was surpised to enjoy this book by Fielding as much as I did.

5. A Good Year, Peter Mayle ~ it’s a book about a vineyard, what more can I say?

6. Sammy’s Hill, Kristin Gore ~ excellent book. I hope that Kristin decides to write another book, and I’d love it if she wrote a Sammy series.

7. Metro Girl, Janet Evanovich ~ it’s not Stephanie Plum, but it’s the next best thing if you are a Plum-Junkie, as I am. ;-)

8. Trace, Patrica Cornwell ~ I must admit that I don’t love Kay Scarpetta as much as I used to, but I’ll continue to read the series for old times sake.

9. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, J.K. Rowling ~ speaks for itself.

10. The Undomestic Goddess, Sophie Kinsella ~ I love Sophie’s books. The Shopaholic series was by far the most clever writing that I’ve read in a long time. This was a new character, and it was equally enjoyable.

11. Little White Lies, Gemma Townley ~ Gemma happens to be Sophie’s sister, this was an equally excellent read!

12. The Honeymoon, James Patterson ~ I enjoy a good suspense book, and couldn’t put this one down.

13. The Mysterious Key of Lodge Erie: A Kate Carson Mystery, by Indigo (that’s me!!!!) ~ I still can’t believe that I actually wrote a book.
