...he said, “Ah, you’re back to normal!” And I didn’t know that I was ever not normal.

Grad school, Ranger, moving, Ranger, Ranger, Ranger, Rrrrrrrrrrrranger!

I’ve made it through my first weekend of doing homework, and I’ve made it through my first night of graduate classes. My instructor is great, and by the time the night was over I actually believe that I can do this, and that I’m going to enjoy it too. Does that make sense? Cripes, if I can write a novel, I can make it through grad school. Right?

Friday is the big closing on our new house. Then comes box moving, and more box moving. The movers are coming on Saturday morning to take everything that we can’t move ourselves. I’m hoping that it goes smoothly. I’m totally excited to have a first floor laundry room, and a walk in closet in my bedroom, and deck, and a bigger yard, and to live in the suburbs!!! Buh bye city life. Oh, and I can’t wait to get all my new kitchen appliances! Did I mention I got a ‘griddle in the middle’ range???? (oh, well it never hurts to mention it again)

I’m up to my eye balls in Stephanie Plum right now. Ranger moved into her apartment! And she’s sleeping with him!!! Well, not sleeping sleeping with him, but sharing a bed and waking up entangled in his arms sleeping with him. And now …. Morelli decided to move in with her too! Oh jeez, aren’t we ever going to get to have sex with Ranger?????? *cough* I mean, what’s Steph going to do now?

Wedding pictures

This is a rehearsal picture, and I’ve included it so you can see my super duper high heels. I still can’t believe I didn’t fall down!

Here we are on the wedding day, as we walked down the aisle “for real”. That’s my cousin, isn’t he handsome?

Zoe and I prior to the ceremony.

Here’s Zoe. Isn’t she cute?

TGIF!!!

Thank God It’s Friday!!!!!!

WHEW! I made it through the wedding last night without toppling over my 4" heels. Yay! Why did I wear such high heels you ask? Well, I picked up my dress late and in order to not have to have it hemmed I had to wear 4" heels. They were "bridal store" shoes, and if you don’t know what that means let me assure you that it translates to UNCOMFORTABLE. As soon as I walked back up the aisle my heels came off, and my Teva flip flops went on.

I’ll have pictures up later so you can see just how dolled up Zoe and I were. She did her job as flowergirl very well. She had a single rose to carry, and right before walking down the aisle she turned to ask me if she should pick off the petals as she went. Ahhhhh, that’d be a big fat no.

Apparently I lost a little bit of weight between last week and this week, because I could have sworn that when I tried it on earlier I filled out the chest area better …. and in the process pulled out all the wrinkles in the dress that we couldn’t seem to steam out. Yesterday when I put the dress on, I clearly was lacking in the boob department, and my dress needed me to fill it out a little bit. So my mom suggested stuffing my bra with socks. Yes, socks. Stuffed. In my bra. For a wedding. The bride handed me a pair of blue Christmas socks and I to work turning my bra into one of those Miracle Bras. And then we swore everyone to secrecy. Shhhhhhh.

50/50

ONE MORE DAY!!!!

Did you hear that? There is only one more day and then I’ve got my life back!!!! YAY!!!!

Tonight was the rehearsal for my cousin’s wedding, which is tomorrow. I’m 50/50 on whether or not I’ll topple over on my high heels during the wedding. They are SUPER DUPER HIGH, and I’m a flip-flop kinda girl.

After the wedding, I get my life back, well, for a very small amount of time and then I have to do all the homework I received at college on Tuesday night. I’ve got about 100 pages to read for my class of Fundamentals of Executive Management, and then a page worth of homework. I’m in grad school now, which means that no matter what, they think that I can handle it.

Ha!

I’d like to thank everyone again for all of their donations to help my aunt’s parents (Carol and Cliff). Carol had to go to the ER on Tuesday for congestive heart failure, this isn’t good at all. I’m not sure she’ll make it to the wedding tomorrow, but we are all hoping. I told my aunt about the donations that you all have made, and she broke down and cried. She could barely speak and finally just mouthed a ‘thank you’.

From her to me to you, ‘thank you’.

Happy Birthday to Me!!!!!!

It’s my birthday!!!!! What is coming up for me this year? Well, tonight I start graduate school. If you weren’t here when I made that announcement, I’m going back to school for my MBA. Do you think my classmates will sing Happy Birthday to me?

I’ll only be 37 and 2 days old when I get to be a bridesmaid for the VERY FIRST TIME! I don’t know why I’ve always wanted to be a bridesmaid. In all honesty, it’s a pain in the arse. LOL!

What else?? Oh yeah, there’s the whole new house thing. Next week Friday we finally purchase our new house … the house I searched for for THREE LONG YEARS!!!! Good God I cannot wait to have a first floor laundry room, and a bedroom that is large enough that I can do cartwheels in it. The last bedroom was very very very tiny.

Now, on to giving thanks where thanks is due. I don’t know all the websites of those who have made donations so far, but they include: Kelly, MommaK, Webkittyn, Pickalish, Brad, Ashley, Naomi, Chris. I can’t get over the kindness and generosity from all of you. THANK YOU SO MUCH! If you don’t know what I’m talking about, please click here to read about my aunt’s parents who lost everything in a house fire.

TOTAL AMOUNT RAISED SO FAR …. $192.00

I’d better hit the ground running!

Tomorrow begins a very VERY busy week: Tuesday is my birthday, Thursday is my cousin’s wedding and I’m a bridesmaid (yes, I did pick up my dress AND my shoes), Monday is the bridemaid dinner, and Wednesday is the rehearsal. (I tried to put that in Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday order, but it didn’t work out as you can see.)

On Friday I get the night ALL to myself. Ahhhhh. Is it Friday yet?

Oh yes, and I start graduate school on Tuesday night. I’m excited about that, but you know, it’s my birthday and I’d rather be at wine club. We’ve never had wine club on a Tuesday, so it’s not like I’m choosing grad school over wine club, I’m just saying that if I could choose anything else to do on my birthday, I’d rather be at wine club.

I want to put out a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who has made a donation to my aunt’s parents who lost everything in a house fire. You all are the BEST!!! I’ll post a total at the end of the week!

Check out the blinkie that Pickalish made too, I can’t figure out how to put it on my page though.
