The trouble maker
My cat, Jasper, has a fedish for hairbands.
He eats them.
It’s not good for him either. He had to have emergency surgery in July because he had one stuck in his intestines. That’s not cheap folks.
I never leave hairbands lying around anymore. The go from my hair, to my wrist/pocket/purse/drawer/etc….. they are NEVER left on the coffee table, or the counters, or my nightstand. He’s got hairband radar and it’s uber sensitive. He can be on the other end of the house, sound asleep, yet come running the second the hairband comes off my ponytail.
Recently I’ve been finding all the contents to my purse spewed about. Which I thought was odd, but shrugged it off that maybe my husband was looking for money for the soda machine at work.
And then I caught him red-handed red-pawed. The little booger figured out how to open my purse! I’ve found him with his head and two front paws inside there, rifling around. Just this morning he was in there! But the coveted rubber ponytail holder was already on my ponytail. Ha!
He’s also taken on the responsibility of being the Water Marshall. If you turn the water on, he comes running. He’ll sit on one side of my double sink, while the water runs in the other side, then bat the water all over the place with his paw. This cat seriously needs to find something more productive to do.

I love animals with attitude! And he is soooo cute!
teach him to vacuum, i bet he’s love watching the action with that thing.
Cats are strange little creatures aren’t they? Mine likes to eat my hair and i have long hair! He also used to eat rubber bands. Your kitty is lovely y the way :0)
Thanks for dropping by my blog. You are right - losing my work, notes adn back-up was a nightmare come true. It is going to take a lot of effort to get this esay done now. I’m waiting for the OU to resend the books so I can get started. I am loaning a laptop at the moment. What are you studying?
My advice - back-up your back-up and keep it somewhere safe!!
I love the pic at the top of your blog :0)
Lol! I have a mental picture of his rear in the air head in your handbag (purse)!
Ha ha ha. That’s so funny that he digs in your purse. My sister’s cat George also comes running when water is running. Not only will he bat and play with it, but also drink from the running stream.
