Zoe has started clicking while she talks. Yes, she is (click) making a clicking sound while she (click) talks.
My husband says not to draw attention to it.
I feel like I’m living with someone who is speaking some tribal language where the click sound is actually a part of the way she speaks.

I went to wine club.
I did not sneak in a bottle of red.
I drank white wine.
It wasn’t entirely bad.
(but it wasn’t like drinking red wine.)
I did not write down any of the wines we drank, usually I do, but I figure if I don’t document the white wines it’s as if it never happened.
On a different note, the Trivia site has been upgraded (by whoever the Trivia people are, not by me). Come give it a try!
Thursday Thirteen Vol. 15
Thirteen Things …. by Indigo
- I got up and walked 2.25 miles on the treadmill yesterday morning before work.
- Then I ran 3.75 miles on it last night while I watched Lost. That’s 6 miles total.
- I almost believed Juliet, and then that curve-ball came and now I know she’s bad.
- I stayed up until 11:30 p.m. and finished reading this book: Still Life with Husband

- It was due back at the library on April 6th, and today is April 12th.
- I don’t think I’ve ever purposely had an overdue book before. I tried to renew it, but there were holds on it and I had to finish it.
- That sounds pretty selfish, doesn’t it? I apologize to anyone who is on the wait list for the book at my library.
- ….
- Tomorrow is wine club, and for the first time ever I do not want to go.
- The wine is Riesling and that German wine that I cannot spell, gewurtztasomethingoranother. I don’t like either of them, but my husband says I have a moral obligation to go.
- Yes, he said I have a moral obligation to go to wine club and drink wine I do not enjoy.
- I think I’m going to sneak a bottle of Cabernet in and keep it in a brown paper bag. I could say it’s a wine glass.
- After awhile, if they drink enough of that white crap, they’ll be too drunk to notice that my wine is a slightly different shade of white.

April 7th
Dolls and art
I am in Chicago for the day.
My husband and I are taking Zoe to the American Girl Store for her birthday. To say that she’s excited would be an understatement. She’s been paging through the American Girl catalog constantly for the past few weeks. I told her to circle the dolls that she liked the most, but she came back to me about five minutes later saying that she couldn’t do that because she liked them ALL the most. Yes, we might be there for a looooooong time. Zoe is a kid who can’t decide between two Polly Pocket dolls at the checkout lane in Target without polling every person around her which doll she should pick.
As of right now she’s chosen Nicki to come home with us, but I don’t doubt that she’ll have to ponder that choice tomorrow. It’ll be fun though, a chance of a lifetime, and a moment to remember forever.
After she picks out her doll we will most likely head over the art museum for the remainder of the day. I look forward to seeing my favorite painting, Georgia O’Keeffe’s Cow Skull With Calico Roses. I have a smaller replica tattooed on my ankle, but I haven’t seen the original for at least 18 years.
