Thursday Thirteen: Pure randomness

  1. This morning finished The Book Thief and met my goal of reading 22 books in 2013 — 13 of those books were read since the beginning of October.
  2. I have no idea what my next book will be, maybe Me Before You by Jojo Moyes.
  3. The Vader Family opted for a family present this Christmas. The buying of the family present turned into quite the adventure which involved a snow storm, a tight squeeze in the car, a forgotten password, and winning a $25 gift card.
  4. I have Tyson in the Survivor pool at work, I think my chances of winning the pool is high this time around. Go Tyson!
  5. The key to living with Raynaud’s in a Wisconsin winter are Ugg boots without socks. Trust me.
  6. Brunch is the dumbest meal ever. Also, trust me.
  7. The movie this Friday is either Seabiscuit or The Goonies. I realize Tom Hanks isn’t in either of these movies, but we are looking forward to Saving Mr. Banks.
  8. On Sunday we have tickets to see the next Hobbit movie, in 3D. I fully expect to fall asleep in this movie. I watched the first movie last weekend, twice, and I still don’t know what’s going on.
  9. Due to how hectic December is, I’m skipping wine club’s Annual Christmas Splurge for the first time ever. I know, I know — shocking, but sometimes I have to just say no.
  10. The Milwaukee Brewers keep trading all of my favorite players and IT’S MAKING ME REALLY MAD!!!! JUST STOP IT!!!
  11. I don’t send Christmas cards, it’s nothing personal, I find them to be wasteful.
  12. The tv shows that I cannot miss in real time are: Hostages, The Walking Dead, Survivor and The Amazing Race.
  13. All of the Facebook comment traps where you get the DM and then have to post something shocking, embarrassing and untrue drive me bonkers. I’ve gotten hit with it three times and have ignored it each time. It’s stupid, trust me.

  1. Oh my gosh, you had me with “Brunch is the dumbest meal ever”. My mother in law always insists on brunch, which drives me crazy because by the time you get to it, you are STARVING. And then eating a meal of stuffed french toast carbs at 11 just makes you feel worse. Ack!

But I do love me some Christmas cards. They are one of my favorite things about Christmas.
