Does time travel have to mean sci-fi?

I have been adamant from the very beginning that Lost is not sci-fi. My husband is adamant that it is. I’ve stated over and over again that in order for something to be classified as sci-fi there must be a space ship. And then last week’s episode happened, The Constant, where Desmond was time travelling, and now I don’t have a leg to stand on.

Time travel. For crying out loud. TIME TRAVEL! What am I supposed to do with that? I’m a girl who likes chick-flicks, chick-lit, and Stephanie Plum mystery novels. I’m not supposed to like time travel. 

I’ve thought long and hard about this and the only way out of this for me is for Desmond and Penny to wake up in their Chicago condo a’la  the series finale of Newhart when Bob and Emily Hartley woke up and found that the entire series of Newhart was a dream.

Get LOST it’s the Thursday Thirteen

The show just ended and here’s Thirteen Things that we just found out about LOST
1. Alex is Ben’s daughter.2. Sawyer only had two bullets in his gun.

3. Kate has WAY more kahunas than Sawyer.

4. The Others really ARE on another island.

5. And that they are 2 miles off shore from the non-Other island.

6. Juliet’s wish came true. Her ex-husband did get hit by a bus.

7. Ethan …. definetely a bad guy.

8. Jack and Tom didn’t do so bad together, they were even kinda comical. They would be perfect for the island’s morning radio show. What, you don’t think they have a radio station on that island?

9. Did you see the conditions poor Carl was in? Those Others are really really are bad.

10. Ben is definitely in charge.

11. The writers foreshadowed this day in the pilot episode.

12. Juliet sold Jack out in order to get off the island.

13. Neither of them are going anywhere anytime soon though. Jack should have let the dude die. (in my opinion)
