• Thursday 13: The weekend

  1. I’ve got the weekend all to myself.
  2. My husband and daughter are going to Rhinelander to help my in-laws with their auction.
  3. They aren’t taking the puppy.
  4. I can’t go because of the puppy.
  5. If I board her then all of my house training will be for nothing.
  6. This means that I could have had the entire house to myself to lay around and do nothing if I wouldn’t have accidentally gotten a puppy.
  7. There was so much potential!
  8. And now my weekend all to myself will be sandwiched between really long walks with my dogs.
  9. And saying ‘Josie no!’ a zillion times.
  10. I think I deserve a massage.
  11. And then a double feature at the movies.
  12. Chick flicks for sure.
  13. And a HUGE bowl of ice cream after every meal.

• Thursday 13: Lullabye

  1. Ever since I got braces I can’t get a full night of sleep.
  2. Once I figured out that I could wiggle my teeth around I found myself doing so all night long.
  3. I’m going on 50 weeks of tossing and turning.
  4. I can’t sleep if there’s any other noise except my air purifier which offers the perfect white noise.
  5. It’s not so much the problem of falling asleep as it is staying asleep.
  6. Sometimes I fall into a dead sleep, but then my husband starts snoring and I’m as good as up for the rest of the night.
  7. The other night we lost power and my eyes shot open as the house came to a grinding halt.
  8. If it’s too quiet I can’t sleep either.
  9. I’ve tried everything.
  10. Tea that makes you sleepy, meds that make you sleepy, pure exhaustion, running, yoga.
  11. I’ve got ear plugs on hand.
  12. I wonder if I’ll start to sleep better once the braces are off?
  13. And I really miss my down feather pillows.

• Thursday 13: The countdown to free teeth

  1. May 6th:  Picture Day for my daughter’s dance recital, which means that I have to put her hair in a low bun and she gets to wear makeup.
  2. May 7th: PAYDAY!
  3. May 8th: My husband goes on a mushroom hunt in the Kettle Moraine Forest.
  4. May 9th: The day of my long run.
  5. It’s also Mother’s Day.
  6. May 10th: A day of rest for this marathon training girl.
  7. May 11th: The cleaners come!
  8. May 12th: Haircut day!
  9. May 13th: There’s nothing on my calendar, what will I do?
  10. May 14th: Wine club at Jennifer’s house! WOO HOO!!
  11. May 15th: Mixing with the Master’s at the Milwaukee Art Museum.
  12. May 16th: Brewers game against Philadelphia, circle the parking lot in search of our car, etc…
  13. May 17th: FREE TEETH!!!

• Thursday 13: Things I’m obsessing about now

  1. AT&T U-Verse isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be.
  2. I’m supposed to be able to DVR 2 HD programs at a time, however, I can only DVR 1 HD channel, or I could just watch it live.
  3. I have zero red wine in the house!
  4. And I haven’t had any since wine club last week Friday.
  5. The light bulb is burned out in my closet.
  6. My house was cleaned on Tuesday and I have no complaints about it (shocker).
  7. The house is really quiet with only one dog in it (and that’s okay).
  8. I should have made an ink print of Phoebe’s paw.
  9. The U-Verse boxes don’t have digital clocks on them.
  10. My growing pile of Brewers baseball tickets.
  11. I’m completely out of Rooibos Chai tea and it’s the tea that gets blended the most into other teas to create my favorite morning drinks.
  12. My daughter is going to be 9 years old next month!
  13. As usual, her birthday is during Spring Break.

• Thursday Thirteen: Chiffon Rosette

  1. I’ve been receiving emails from www.eShakti.com.
  2. I don’t know how I got on their mailing list.
  3. Never heard of them prior to this.
  4. I’ve unsubscribed from their mailings every single day this week.
  5. And this morning I sent eShakti an email asking them to ‘please remove me this time and I mean it’.
  6. I really REALLY hate being put on an unsolicited mailing list.
  7. However, some of their dresses are kinda cute.
  8. And I can custom tailor them for my body.
  9. There’s this ruffle tee that I adore.
  10. Oooooh, accessories…..
  11. SCARVES!
  12. Wouldn’t I like a chiffon rosette pin?
  13. Must. Not. Order. On. Principle.
