Perfect Post Award

Today I am awarding Joanne of Blue Monday the Perfect Post Award for her post It Happened To Me. Why? Well, for two reasons. The first is that it was so stinking hilarious! The second is because it has happened to me – I too have locked my keys in the car and left the car running.

Imagine this: work is over, it’s about 5 p.m., most likely July, the temperature is 95 degrees (F) and I pull into my vendors parking lot to run inside and drop off some parts for grinding. I decide that since it’s so freaking hot out I’ll just leave my car running so that the air conditioning stays on. And then I locked the car doors. I didn’t realize what I had done until I came back to my car to leave. I had to call my mom to come and pick me up and drive me home to pick up my spare set of keys. I lived about 20 miles away and it was rush hour traffic. What fun.
