I am going to Opening Day.
Let me repeat that:
I. Am. Going. To. Opening. Day.
You heard me right. OPENING DAY. As in the MILWAUKEE BREWERS. As in BASEBALL.
Opening Day + Baseball + Me = Confused Looks From Many
I don’t know what go into me, but I just bought a 9-ticket weekend package for the 2010 Brewers baseball season. As a perk, it included free tickets to Opening Day, which I’ve never been to — which my husband went to once in 1987.
Maybe this is my version of a sideways reality? I have no explanation other than to say that when we went to the see the game in August of 2008 (you know, the time I sat in the luxury box?) I found the game to be pretty exciting.

Yankees are still in New York?

I gave up on Professional baseball many years ago. I did see Willy Mays, Mickey Mantle, Duke Snider, The Yankees, Dodgers, Mets, Giants and a few other teams before I packed it in. Baseball was a game back in the 50′s and 60′s. The wheel started to fall off when teams were moving all over the place for money, players going on strike.
I lost interest. Would my beloved Yankees move to Boise, Idaho?
