TGIM!

Normally, you’d never hear me say Thank God It’s Monday!!! But today, I’m thankful. You see I got up at 5:00 a.m. to do my morning run on the treadmill, however first I went outside to turn on the sprinkler in the backyard. After my run, 4 miles thank you very much, I went back outside to move the sprinkler to the front yard. I’m walking back to the door when I realize, holy crap, I’m locked out of the house!!! It’s 6:00 in the morning, and I’m in locked out in my stinky, sweaty running gear, meant to be seen by no one! Heck, I don’t even look in the mirror while I’m wearing it.

Zoe and Hubby are both sound asleep. Of course, when I need someone to be alert and hear the doorbell ringing for the umpteenth time, they are off in dreamland. Probably dreaming about buzzers and bells ringing off in the distance. … And this where the TGIM comes in, any other day of the week and Hubby would be at work. I’d be screwed, especially since Zoe, my 4 year old, would most likely panic before she’d realize that I was outside.

I had to resort to pounding on the door, hollering for Hubby to come and let me in — finally he does!!! YAY!! He let me in!! Boy, did he look sleepy. He unlocked the door, turned and walked straight back to bed.

He called me later this morning at work, and when I apologized for waking him up he said, ‘Sorry it took me so long, I thought you were going to answer the door.’ Not a good plan, since I was the one at the door!
