Today’s photo is light, and if I had known this at 5pm when I was pulling into the parking lot of the Humane Society I would have taken a photo of all of the Christmas lights they had. But I didn’t. Instead, here is a photo of one of my family room lamps. The amount of time it took to choose these lamps (there are two) was insane. We are talking HOURS. For a lamp. It was worth it though, because I love them.
Now I know, you are all thinking … DID SHE SAY SHE WAS AT THE HUMANE SOCIETY???? Yes. I. Did. My brother has been searching for a dog for what seems like forever, but it might have only been a week. I’m not sure. All I know is that I wasn’t getting a dog, I assured my husband and daughter that we were NOT getting a dog, even though I was drooling over the doggy cuteness that was plastered all over the Wisconsin Humane Society’s website.
Anyhow. Jeff kept going to there to pick out a dog and coming home without one, so OBVIOUSLY what he needed was me there to help him pick one out. Duh.
And yes, when I told my husband that I was going to the Humane Society to help Jeff pick out a dog he said: DO YOU THINK THAT’S A GOOD IDEA?
And I knew it was going to be tempting, so I left my wallet at home. And my checkbook. (And it worked! No adoptions for me!)
Jeff adopted a dog though, he picked out a super great one. So far, I mean, he’s barely had time to taste test the furniture.
